Message	a lien on. I was told I would get the papers saying the note was paid off in a few weeks (long story, but I needed the vehicle right then and there). Of course I never got that paperwork. I didn't care because I planned on having full coverage insurance on it anyway. I sold it to a friend in NJ before I moved, so of course she needed the lien removed. I called Albany and explained the situation (failed to mention I bought the Jeep from my friend/neighbor), had a clear title in about two weeks.
